Our Mission

The mission of the Diablo Scorpion Lacrosse Club is to instill positive life lessons for all participants through teamwork, working towards common goals, personal development, competition and most of all having fun at various skill levels and age.

We strive to provide the highest level of coaching instruction at each age level to ensure individual growth within the sport.  Respect for the game of lacrosse, teammates, opponents, officials, and coaches is the cornerstone of our teaching philosophy.

Scorpion Lacrosse assumes a leadership role within the Northern California lacrosse community to promote the reasonable, ethical, and sustainable growth of the sport.

2019 Girls and Boys Player Evaluations Schedule

Player evaluations for Boys and Girls 14U, 12U and 10U age groups will be held at Sycamore Park 11/26 thru 12/14.  Please mark your calendars with the corresponding evaluation dates below. All players are expected to attend all of their evaluation days.   NOTE: Boys 8U evals will be held early-January, and there are no evals for Girls 8U.

EVALS for BOYS “A” TEAMS

Evaluations for Boys 14U and 12U age groups have a different format this year.   All players who are interested in being considered for our most competitive “A” Teams must attend both sessions on Monday and Tuesday, December 3rd and 4th.   The 14U and 12U “A” Teams will be announced Wednesday morning.  All other players, including those that tried out but were not selected for the “A” team, will be expected to attend the sessions on Wednesday and Thursday evening, December 5th and 6th.

Please remember that there are no ‘cuts’ at any age group and all players will be assigned to a team with other kids of like abilities and/or experience.

EVALUATION CHECK-IN:  Check-in stations will be open 30 minutes prior to the start of each session.  Evaluations will start promptly so please allow enough time for traffic and check in, and have all equipment on and ready to go at your designated start time.  We need to check in a large number of players, so please do not wait until the last minute to check in.

EQUIPMENT REQUIREMENTS: All of the following equipment is mandatory (kids cannot participate if they are missing equipment).  Please make sure they have all the required equipment for all nights, and that they bring plenty of water to drink.

BOYS:  Lacrosse Helmet, Shoulder and Elbow Pads, Gloves, Stick, Mouth Guard (not white or clear), Cup and Cleats or Running Shoes

GIRLS:  Lacrosse Eye Mask, Stick, Mouth Guard, and Cleats or Running Shoes.

Numbered pinnies will be issued on the first night of evaluations.

Any questions - please let us know.  We look forward to seeing you at Sycamore soon!  More importantly, we look forward to yet another great season of Scorpion Lacrosse.

Go Orange and Blue!    Go Scorpions!
